Banning Canadian drivers in the USA

Just listened to a member of the State legislature from Iowa.
He wants to present a bill banning Canadians from driving in the United States. He quoted three reasons until until he stated there were a lot more.
Three Reasons.....
1. Canadians are not used to larger highways containing more than one lane in either direction.
2. Americans drive at a more conservative speed..ie....65mph.
Canadians drive at 110. When it was pointed out to him that 110kph was equal to 65mph he said that by itself would be a problem because Canadians would not be paying attention if they were constantly trying to convert.
3. Canadians drive on the wrong side of the road. When pointed out that both countries are the same, he talked off mike to someone else and asked if that was true. The person said that Canada is British and of course they drive on the wrong side.

The question was then asked if Americans would have the same problems in Canada. He replied that Americans learn faster and would have no problem.

Lets watch to see when this new bill will come out.

I really hope this is not someone that actually has a hand in making laws.

We, as Canadians, welcome ALL Americans, whether you can drive on the wrong side of the road or not.

He should probably include in that bill a requirement to make pi equal to 3.0, in order to make life easier for math students. HAHAHAHAHA!

And exactly WHO is this " member of the State legislature from Iowa."???

This sounds really fishy to me.....I can't believe that a legislature member would be this stupid. Sounds more like a "dumb blond" joke.

Before we ban Canadians, I'd like to ban some U.S. drivers from U.S. roads...

Sounds fishy to me. BTW, I drove in Canada as a Boy Scout on a high adventure trip when I was a teen back in the '80's. Their roads are like ours, just as crappy at times. We all drive on the same side of the road.

It's satire, can't you figure something is not quite right and look into it a little further.

We are from Texas and have been driving and enjoying Canada for the last 8 weeks. Very nice people, good drivers, and very good roads. Sure every place has a few poor drivers and bad roads but from what I've seen, Canada has a lot for Americans to learn from.

Kind of stupid to even suggest such a thing, and to think we actually pays these people.

Banning Canadian drivers in the USA

Pretty sad this guy ever made it to legislature....if it's true, that is. IQ would need to be below 50 if true, lol

I'm not welcome in Canada, I carry firearms with me.
