Carreefulll on email addressing

Here is a little reminder on how important it is to type that e-mail address correctly.

A Wisconsin businessman traveled to Louisiana on a business trip. Upon arrival, he immediately plugged his laptop into the hotel room port, and sent a short e-mail back home to his wife, Jennifer Johnson, at her e-mail address:JennJohn@world.net.

Unfortunately, in his haste, he mistyped a letter, and the e-mail ended up going to: JeanJohn******

Jean Johnson in Duluth was the wife of a preacher who had just passed away, and who had been buried that morning. The preacher’s wife took one look at the e-mail and promptly fainted.

It read, “Arrived safely, but it sure is hot down here!”

UM...I know this was done with good intentions but should this contain an unsolicited email address?

I think it might be a good idea to edit it out or even delete the post.

This is an old old old joke. However it did spawn an idea that has become a reality. There is a web based service that will send posthumous emails for you. I'm not sure how they know you're dead but I've heard about folks using the service.

How about a simple 'I'm watching you' to a widow? LOL

I didn't get it! Not only am I a NOB, I am a NOB without a sense of humor!
