Directions to Heaven

A little boy was waiting for his mother to come out of the grocery store. As he waited, he was approached by a man who asked, "Son, can you tell me where the Post Office is?

The little boy replied, "Sure! Just go straight down this street a coupla blocks and turn to your right.

The man thanked the boy kindly and said, "I'm the new pastor in town. I'd like for you to come to church on Sunday...I'll show you how to get to Heaven.

The little boy replied with a chuckle. "You're kidding me, right? You don't even know the way to the Post Office!

Great story.

Can you imaging that situation with the Mom inside the store and the boy outside talking to strangers. Today the pastor probably would have called 911 and reported child endangerment!

Boy that brought back memories of my brothers and sisters walking the two miles to the grocery store with Mom. Kids were never inside the store back in the day, we all just ran around all over town while Mom and my oldest sister shopped for groceries. Mom would always make sure there was at least one bag of food for each of us kids to carry for the long walk back home. Never a concern about "bad people" back then.

So sad the kids now will never experience that!
