Reminds me of a story. Now this is a true story.. Made the department newsletter in fact.
A couple had been out drinking.. Well when it came time to go home she felt he was too drunk to drive,, He disagreed, an argument ensued...

Finally to settle it he pulls into the Flat Rock (Michigan) post of the state police.. Parks in front of a NO PARKING sign, In full view of the Desk Sgt and a couple of troopers.. and goes in and loudly DEMANDS a breath test.

The Wife won the argument.. he was indeed too drunk to drive.. So they called him a "Taxi" to his new overnight home (Blue with a red light on top uniformed chauffeur and doorman, free rental of a lovely pair of matched braclets, stainless steel type) and gave her a breath test as well.

She too was too drunk to drive. So they called her a taxi as well (yellow with a white VACANT sign on top she got to go home.. No law against RIDING in the passenger seat drunk)

Oh and a very expensive tow truck for the car.. Seems it was in a NO PARKING SPOT.

Hey.. I'm sure it's happened at many police stations and posts.
