On the sixth day God turned to the Archangel Gabriel and said, "Today I am going to create a land called Canada . It will be a land of outstanding natural beauty. It shall have tall majestic mountains full of mountain goats and eagles, beautiful sparkling lakes bountiful with bass and trout, forests full of elk and moose, high cliffs over-looking sandy beaches with an abundance of sea life, and rivers stocked with salmon."

God continued, "I shall make the land rich in resources so as to make the inhabitants prosper, I shall call these inhabitants Canadians, and they shall be known as the most friendly people on the earth."

"But Lord," asked Gabriel, "don't you think you are being too generous to these Canadians??"

"Not really," replied God. "Just wait and see the winters I am going to give them!

Unfortunately, those winters tend to drift a bit south of the border!

Freezing my butt off in Wisconsin...

I kept one tool in the Garage... a snow shovel.....

We do not need it anymore... Haven't used it for 10 years. Spring is here. The tulips are coming

I like to see those big storms east and south... Otherwise CTV and CNN had nothing funny on the tube.

Hello Willey, we have ALL THAT RAIN here, but we need no shovel for that.
The eastern part of the continent gets lots of the snow and storms.
So - we are pretty lucky here in the LOWER MAINLAND. The tulips are looking for the sun. 3-4 days of rain, followered by 2 sunny days. I can take that. If we could just get rid of the HST

Thats why I moved from Alberta to here, so - that I could keep that lone snow shovel in the garage and smile. The rest of Albertans know when to come west
