Homesick for the Navy_

While going through a stack of old papers after my Dad passed, I found this on a typed sheet: Military Humor - Pretending You're in the Navy
Since I can't upload it, I searched the internet and found it. enjoy.

Having served 30 yrs in the Navy, 20 of them in ships of all types, I can attest to its validity. It bring back memories. Today's Navy is "kinder and gentler" and many young sailors may not relate to all of those points. Thanks for sharing. Made me smile and appreciate my black coffee, fresh toast and real eggs this morning.

These are great. I especially like #23. I recently explained to a sheriff friend, whose son is looking to join, that it is much like being in jail with a slight chance of drowning. There are parts I miss. Like sitting on a catwalk in the middle of the Med as the sun is setting.

Ray,
Thanks for the humor. I spent 6 yrs in the Navy and most of it on Submarines. It brought back memories. Especially the bunking and bathrooms. Oh to the messenger of the watch and countless checking readings. And then the damn red tag audits. It must be Sunday. LOL!

Good Lord, the author must have been on my ship. Perhaps even my compartment.

The Navy was a million dollar experience I wouldn't pay a penny to relive.
