How to wash a cat
It does work ------sort of anyway..
This was simply too much of a time saver not to share it with you.
1. Put both lids of the toilet up and add 1/8 cup of pet shampoo to the water in the bowl.
2. Pick up the cat and soothe him while you carry him towards the bathroom.
3. In one smooth movement, put the cat in the toilet and close the lid. You may need to stand on the lid.
4. The cat will self-agitate and make ample suds.. Never mind the noises that come from the toilet, the cat is actually enjoying this.
5. Flush the toilet three or four times This provides a 'power-wash' and rinse'.
6. Have someone open the front door of your home. Be sure that there are no people between the bathroom and the front door.
7. Stand behind the toilet as far as you can, and quickly lift the lid.
8. The cat will rocket out of the toilet, streak through the bathroom, and run outside where he will dry himself off.
9. Both the commode and the cat will be sparkling clean.
Yours Sincerely,
The Dog

I'm glad somebody else posted that method. Mine is similar but it involves the CG laundromat & some coins. Either way, once the cat is outside it won't be seen again. Sort of defeats the purpose of washing the cat. Always found them to be pretty good at self cleaning.

After tub washing one particular cat, a black one named Ninja (does that give you some indication of its temperament) would have welcomed that method.

I can only imagine what my cat would be like afterward.

We had a Bengal cat who loved, and I mean LOVED, the water. Had to keep her locked out of the master bathroom in the house or she was in the shower with you. We have a doorless shower so a check of the entire bathroom was necessary unless you wanted to share your shower with her. It wasn’t an issue of really the shower sharing but rather the “after” shower process. She did not want to be towel dried, preferred the “drip dry” method, and a cat can absorb a lot of water. She was not an outside cat so there was no putting her on the patio, back yard, etc to dry off. The bathroom did get a good cleaning afterwards when I had to remove what seemed like ten gallons of water from walls and floors.
The breed is just a few generations removed from a wild Asian fishing cat and hence the love of water.
Miss that cat after almost 19 years.....
