I wrote a letter to my local paper saying that we need to bring our troops home and guard our own borders. If anyone tries to breach them we need to move swiftly and decisively to terminate the threat. I believe I used the word 'vaporize'. We have done more than our fair share for a planet that does not really appreciate us. And Seajay is right. We are creating a generation with a disproportionately high number of disabled young individuals. And they will, now or one day, ask themselves why. I was born on Flag Day and consider myself a patriot, but the mandate of 'By the People, For The People' has given way to the greed of those who were supposed to be elected to serve our best interest. Ok, climbing down off soapbox...oh yea, motorhomes...sorry to babble.

Former 1st Cavalry, slightly after the Vet described above...

I cry too. But I'm a girl. I cry over almost everything except spilled milk.

Have any of you read Empires of Trust by Thomas Madden? It comes highly recommended by me (she grins) as an interesting perspective concerning what has happened since 911. Just saying.

Tears

My grandson is in the army band and he is ONE of the trumpet persons dispatatched to play taps at a soldiers funeral. Every time he goes out I cry and he goes out far to often. I pray for it to stop.
