iPad versus Newspaper

I was visiting my Granddaughter last night when I asked if I could borrow a newspaper.
"This is the 21st century, old timer,' she said. 'We don't waste money on newspapers.
Here, you can borrow my iPad."
I can tell you, that pest of a fly never knew what hit it.

It's really tough to start a campfire with a crumpled iPad.

Nope, I've found a wire between the two ends of the battery that falls out after you crumple it does a fine job starting the fire. It does kinda smell though.

It must have been one of those college math teachers that developed it to have the four functions of + - X and divide (use the Alt+0247 for word processors to see the : with the - through it.

How many remember how to use a 'slide rule'? Wish I still had mine, as I got real good with it and 'no batteries' required!

But they waste money on all these new electronic gadgets and the monthly fees required.

I still use my slide rule all the time.

Love it and if you are good with it you can solve many problems by the time the IPad is booted, software loaded and the numbers entered
