Is that what's called an oxymoron?

When you set your expectations this low, there is nowhere to go but up.

Not exactly a sign, but a tribute to the genius white line artist who managed to optimize parking at this rest stop in Oregon. I am parked in a truck/RV lane with half a dozen trucks to either side of me. That SUV and all the other marked car parking spaces to either side are in the exit lane of the truck parking. If the truck lane to my left and all the car spaces to the left of the SUV had not been empty, I would not have been able to leave.

So I asked anyway. The store manager said "For one night? Sure".

You can't succeed if you don't try.

Some feel the need to state the obvious.

While Jeep'n the backroads of Webster County, WV., we came across a sign near a defunct dairy farm that read: SLOW DOWN Dumb Dog ZONE
