Know your height :)

Probably not funny for these fine folks, but it’ll make all that see these pay a little closer attention. I have to credit my bro for showing me this site.

Many years ago in Thermopolis WY, where you go to the state park, we watched a man turn into the street leading to the SP. It has a RR overpass about 2 blocks from the highway. Well, that man stopped at the RR overpass, got out and looked at his 5er and the bridge (which was plainly marked 12' clearance), he got back in his pickup and slowly pulled forward and his air conditioner hit. He backed up, got out and looked again, back into the truck and sped forward.
He pushed the air conditioner back on the roof about 3', leaving a gaping hole in the roof; however he didn't stop, just kept driving.
I always wondered how that turned out when his wife saw the damaged roof and AC unit.

They just recently either raised that bridge or lowered the roadway. Still only like 12'5" or something now. It's famously ripped the top off many vehicles, that's why they are cameras constantly pointed at it from several angles.

I guess if your driving a couch that big, you get used to watching for low bridges.

For what it's worth a fellow RVer an old guy at a PARK told me to make a HIGHT sticker and place on the dash for quick reference which I did and never had any issues but was ready.

Some of you may want to do the same.

and if you happen to travel in Canada create your sticker in both feet/inches as well as meters.

Ours is 13 ft or 4 m.
