Seriously we're all there for our country and the world - my family is well represented: Uncle was a Dough Boy, one brother - Navy, one brother - Army, me - Navy, husband - Navy retired bubblehead, daughter was Air Force ROTC headed to the academy until she blew her knew out, and last, but not least, son-in-law - wait for it - a Marine. Must not forget two aunts that were Rosie the Riveters.

After all this: Seajay hasn't piped in - I guess he must be in the new boat. 6 months and I'll have my 15th yr. in the USCGAUX.
Thanks for keeping us all safer.

I have to admit that I have been in communications with Seajay. He states that he is having so much fun, fishing with Willa, that when he returns to his adobe he is "pooped." He said a few other things to me, but they are not important. Just sailor mouth talk.

If he had been a Marine he would be in better shape, such as I am. (Round is a shape, right?)

"when the chips are down we can always count on each other"

Amen Brothers (and sisters)...still in uniform since throwing my hand in the air on 21 July 1968...but I'm getting far too long in the tooth to be throwing myself out of aircraft and chasing bad guys anymore - and I've worn out far too many cute berets in far off lands to let little things like the difference in branches bother me anymore; but I have to admit this whole thread caused me to chuckle!

Infantry, Ranger, SF and with all the little scare badges to intiminate the youngsters when I need it. :-)

"throwing myself out of aircraft and chasing bad guys "

I have never understood why one would throw themselves out of a perfectly good aircraft.

I figured that when a M48 or M60A1 Tank could be dropped from a aircraft and still fight, I would go Airborne. Needless to say, ain't got no wings!!!!!
