The average American walks about 900 miles year.

Another study found Americans drink, on average, 22 gallons of alcohol a year.

That means, on average, Americans get about 41 miles to the gallon.

I wonder what the Canadian Miles per Beer ratio would be?

lets see - math (crap I hate math).

If a Canadian walks the same as an American=900 miles.

12 bottles of beer a week= 4260 ml = 1.12 US gallons.(3.8 litre to the US gallon)

1.12 x 52 weeks a year = 58 gallons of beer a year.

58 gallons of beer over 900 miles = 15 miles per gallon.

not as good as the USA 41 MPG. But in reality - using the old "imperial gallon" it would work out to .......18.75 miles per gallon.

its a small victory. but I will take all I can...... which means open another beer.

Lets see, I drink more and walk less...does that mean I get more miles to the gallon... or is that more gallons to the mile. Never could do the math thing.
