most people can't answer this even after singing the song.

Answer: it's in the verse about the bells on the horse.

Bells on bob tails ring
Making spirits bright

If you were thinking the horse's name is bob tails, that is likely incorrect. Bob tails refers to the type of horse who's tail has been bobbed (cut short or tied up short, a bob tail). Also note that bob tails is not capitalized as would be expected with a name.
If I missed the name elsewhere, I will need a second clue.

I suspect you got it. But you are not quite right either.

Bob tail is not a "Type of horse" it's a hair do

They cut the tail short so it won't swish in the face of the guy driving the sleigh.

(Bob tail, means the horse's tail was "Bobbed" or cut short)

(This is why when a Semi Drive is driving his tractor, w/o trailer, it's called "Bobtailing" his "Tail" (The Trailer" is.. Well.. Missing. (Cut short)

Dashing through the snow
In a one horse open sleigh
O'er the fields we go
Laughing all the way
Bells on bob tails ring
Making spirits bright
What fun it is to laugh and sing
A sleighing song tonight

Oh, jingle bells, jingle bells
Jingle all the way
Oh, what fun it is to ride
In a one horse open sleigh
Jingle bells, jingle bells
Jingle all the way
Oh, what fun it is to ride
In a one horse open sleigh

A day or two ago
I thought I'd take a ride
And soon Miss Fanny Bright
Was seated by my side
The horse was lean and lank
Misfortune seemed his lot
We got into a drifted bank
And then we got upsot

Oh, jingle bells, jingle bells
Jingle all the way
Oh, what fun it is to ride
In a one horse open sleigh
Jingle bells, jingle bells
Jingle all the way
Oh, what fun it is to ride
In a one horse open sleigh yeah

Jingle bells, jingle bells
Jingle all the way
Oh, what fun it is to ride
In a one horse open sleigh
Jingle bells, jingle bells
Jingle all the way
Oh, what fun it is to ride
In a one horse open sleigh
I don't see a name for the horse.

Rusty, you're too good. I've been using that trivia question for years with success until now.

No Bill, Andy did, He now knows he's got to return all those free drinks he's been getting.

Andy, instead of asking about the nameless horse, ask who cut Sampson's hair.

Hint: Was not the fair lady who usually gets credit for the bob job.

a servant (most likely Philistine) cut it while he rested his head on Delilah's lap, his seven locks were shorn.

Per Wikipedia....
Santa Claus's reindeer are a team of flying reindeer traditionally held to pull the sleigh of Santa Claus and help him deliver Christmas gifts. The commonly cited names of the reindeer are Dasher, Dancer, Prancer, Vixen, Comet, Cupid, Donner (or Donder), and Blitzen. They are based on those used in the 1823 poem A Visit from St. Nicholas, arguably the basis of reindeer's popularity as Christmas symbols, where Donder/Donner and Blitzen were originally called Dunder and Blixem respectively.[1][2]

Then you can add Rudolph for number 9.
