Obits in the paper

Obituary notice

Luck of the Irish

Gallagher opened the morning newspaper and was dumbfounded to read in the obituary column that he had died.

He quickly phoned his best friend, Finney.

"Did you see the paper?" asked Gallagher. "They say I died!!"

"Yes, I saw it!" replied Finney.

"Where are ye callin' from?"

Did you ever notice that people ALWAYS, (according to the papers) die in Alphabetical order?

I remember the NY Times doing a number of radio spots (in the '70s ?) to promote reading their newspaper. The only one that still sticks with me is Woody Allen's.

"I always open to the obit page first. That way I know who won't be in the office today"

It's a know fact that swallowing small amounts of saliva over a long period of time causes death. The same for breathing moderate amounts of nitrogen. It's also been proven in the Republic of Kalifornic, that mice cause cancer in mice.
