Oops stories from the first ride

Last night some of our RV buddies were over and off course the conversation slipped into our travelling stories (suppose a way to lift the spirits while we are waiting for 3 feet of snow to melt). We started discussing "the dumbest thing that happenned on the first trip with a new RV". Here's mine. We had bought our Dolphin in South Carolina and were travelling back to Winnipeg Manitoba. It was a last week of March so the further we got north the less campgrounds were open, or if open, little to no campers. We were somewhere south of Kansas City, stopped for the night, and when I got up there was absolutely no power in the coach. I mean every system was down. Being unfamiliar with the coach, I started checking everything from breakers to shore power etc. but everything was aok. I sat outside at a picnic table thinking of how I was going to tell my wife we were quite alone and without any power at all. I'm sure it was onlly a minute or two (but felt like hours), with my head racing searching for possibilities it hit me. I opened the coach door and fliped over the disconnect switch that one of us had turned off when going to bed the night before (switch on panel as you enter the coach). The coach powered up. When my wife got up (shortly after) she looked at me and commented on how at peace I looked in our new coach. She had no idea. lol
