Political Promises

Saw a honey wagon on the freeway this afternoon. Proudly emblazoned on the back of the tank was a regaled donkey and elephant. Beneath which was inscribed "proudly collecting political promises since 1995"

So appropriate!

Yet rarely is an incumbent not re-elected.

I have said for years that growing up, as I did, on a dairy farm is good prep for listening to politicians promise.

You see.... I shoveled that stuff too,, by the ton.

A while ago I asked a friend who I consider to be very intelligent who would get elected during the next election. The incumbent was not well liked and had brought in some controversial programs.

He looked at me and in his southern drawl said "I know who should get elected but it will come down to who has the flashiest bumper sticker".
