Power Outage

We had an outage at my place this morning and my PC, laptop,
TV, DVD, iPad & my new surround sound music system were all shut down.
Then I discovered that my iPhone battery was flat and to top it off it was raining outside, so I couldn't play golf.

I went into the kitchen to make coffee and then I remembered that this also
needs power, so I talked with my wife for a few hours.

She seems like a nice person.

That is a bummer, I am venturing to guess that you do not have a generator? Maybe a small Honda is in order.........

We were camping in Florida at Swanee River Campground on New Year's Eve 1999. Everyone was concerned about nothing working after the turn of the century, but I parked with some difficulty, arriving after dark and wife wanting trailer just so, so she could see the birds. Finally parked about 11 PM and went to sleep without even hooking up. Awake the next morning to no water in campground, seems that Y2K had struck. UNTIL, it was discovered that I had backed over the water spigot and drained the campground system. We left pretty quick.

An O' Henry kind of short story. Very nicely done. I get it.

Did you add "she seems like a nice person" after I posted, after your 2 hour conversation with her? I missed that part a couple of hours ago.....

Hmmmmmm...reminds me about a slight problem with my DW's cooking a few decades ago. Asked her if the stove was broke as she hadent cooked a hot meal in a week or so ???
"Nope works perfectly fine" she ansered, "but when you remember my name isn't Hey sweetie, hon, or even sweetheart !!! Ill see what I can do with the stove, but until you remember my name IT'S BROKE"

Two decades later its back to cold dinners and I again asked about the stove....."You never call me endearing names like Honey, or Sweetheart or even any thing romantic.....she said....Thinking quick I reminded her of what she said years ago of which I could see by her facial expressing she was on a different page, from a different chapter and book I never read before....

Thinking quick of something cute to diffuse my situation about all I could get out was Mrs Warren......

Damnnn ...will sure be glad when the spring thaw arrives, its cold sleeping out here

I just got married a few months ago and she just melts and gets all snuggly when I call her Mrs. Sherwin. Are you telling me this is gonna wear off someday?
