She knew the menu

My wife and stopped at a restaurant for a meal. The pretty waitress asked what we wanted to eat. I said I wanted the beef cadasides. She informed me they did not have and beef ones. Ok I said what do we have. Her quick reply was we have chicken or steak!!!. Really, I said. I am glad you know the menu. I guess the steak will do

Let's hope that's what they meant -

[ASAP] Cadasides, Calcium-Dependent Acidic Lipopeptides from the Soil Metagenome That Are Active against Multidrug-Resistant Bacteria

Wouldn't want this with my beef.

The beef is generally made from flat meat while the steak is from a different part of the animal.

Reminds me of the little cafe in the little Kansas town that offered a "Kosher Ham and Cheese" sandwich. Asked the waitress how that could be kosher and she replied "well it's on sourdough bread". Not many Jews in town I guess.

I was in the Istanbul airport many years ago. Feeling hungry I tried the restaurant. The only thing on the menu I recognized was a ham and cheese sandwich, which I ordered. Had to be the worst ham I have ever had, they just don't do ham well for some reason.

There have been a number of grocers who've advertised a sale on ham or other pork products as "Passover Savings!" Yeah, because Kosher-keepers will pass over the pork! Clearly these adverts were designed by non-Jews and the odd part is the stores were in locales with significant Jewish population. Ya think they'd have known better!
