She's a Keeper.

Labor day weekend we were camping with some friends at a local campground. When we were getting ready to leave I started to drain my waste tanks. I pulled the handle for the gray tank and my stinky slinky looked like a water fountain. The hose is only a year or so old. Looking at the hose it was easy to see something had chewed on it during our three day stay. I had used the hose the first day we camped to flush the black and gray water tanks.
I carry three hoses at all times so I switched the hose out and did what I had to do. I told my wife what had happened and she asked me what I could do with the hose. I said I might shorten it to use at a dump station but I didn't know. I hate to throw it away.
This morning my wife went into town to do her weekly banking and some grocery shopping. When she came home she started bringing groceries inside. As she started walking back through the door she looked over to where her recliner sits and saw a stinky slinky stretched across her favorite chair. I could see the walls shake as she started in calling me some names I haven't heard from her in a long time. "What is that filthy thing doing on my recliner? I looked over and said, "Sitting there, why"? Her face looked like a thermometer rising off the scale. "Why didn't you put it on your couch"? "OK", I said and I picked the hose up and threw it onto my couch. She was really upset then. "That thing doesn't belong in my house, It's filthy". I picked the hose up, took one of the end caps off the hose and licked the end of the hose. This was the last straw. I was laughing so hard And her face was so red I couldn't stand it any longer.
I said, "UPS was here today" She said, "What did they bring"? I said, "This new hose you are hollering about"!
Another round of descriptive words then she broke out laughing.
Yup, she's a keeper.

Ha ha! Sounds like something I would do. Licking it would send the ocd sanitary lady over the ledge.
She doesn't read all the threads on this forum so I'm safe if no one tells on me.

I would not have had time to explain, just run. My DW is a germ-a-phobic, she washes her hands like a doctor prepping for surgery.

DH came back from a trip to WalMart & I was helping unpack the bags. I came across a nice long handled round brush & thought "Oh he remembered I mentioned needing a new toilet bowl brush". At the end of our trip I was swishing cleaner in the half bath toilet. He was just outside the window getting ready to dump the tanks & my queue to stop cleaning is him rapping on the wall under that window. I raised the window & said "Just a minute, I'm almost done scrubbing the bowl with the brush". He replies" What brush?". I said "The one you brought me from WalMart.". He said "That isn't a toilet brush, it's a drinking glass brush. I bought it for the tall tumblers we have that I can't get my hand into". Oops. Well, at least he didn't find it later & use it to clean the tumblers.
