My DW got pissed when I got my first GPS. Muting the voice helped a little, but she really doesn't want anyone else telling me where to go.
I do have to confer with her when the GPS tells me to take a turn, but she has a better way. She sits there with her smart phone GPS running and it is always right while my Garmin is usually wrong.
We have the occasional communication issues like the time we approached a fork in the road, I asked "left or right?", she replied "just keep going straight." I told her I would have done just that had it been her car and not my truck.

This forum has had me in stitches! Thank you so much, by the way, I am a female driver. 3 accidents in 13 months not one my fault. Two by males and one a female on a phone. I wonder if she came out of the womb with it in her hand. Keep up the good humor, I am really enjoying it!
