Trouble on the Blue Ridge Parkway!

I was telling a friend about the trouble I got into last year on the Blue Ridge Parkway.

We had taken a day trip in the toad up the parkway and was after dark getting back to the CG. Just before we were to get off the Parkway a wild pig ran out in front of the car and I could not stop before hitting him! I stopped and inspected the car but didn't see any damage, but the pig wasn't so lucky.

I knew it was against the law to kill a pig on the Parkway, but it was late at night and there was nobody on the road but us, so I just went on back to the CG.

Early the next morning a Park Ranger was knocking on my door to give me a big fat ticket for illegally killing a pig on the Parkway!

At this point my friend asks the obvious question. "If it was late at night and there was nobody out there but you, how in the world did the Park Ranger know you killed the pig?"

My answer, the pig squealed on me!

P.S.- you might have to be a southerner or a redneck to get this one!
