Guy was very cool. Surprised he did not shoot the bear. It looked to be a young bear.

Put down the video camera and shoot. This guys lucky, it could have been much worse, that bear could have pulled him out of the stand easily. If I was in the stand, the bear never would have climbed more than a few feet up the tree before he would have had a bullet through his head. Justifiable shooting with or without a license. Always carry a pistol along with your hunting rifle, just in case.

We'll have to agree to disagree. I have fished rivers and streams all over the north and have yet to have a problem with an inquisitive bear. We have a young female pass by our front door regularly and she does nothing to anyone.
