Urgh, there is nothing worse

There is nothing worse than being 2,000 miles away from your home enjoying your RV and turning on the news to see your S&B on the news because it was vandalized. Turned on the news to see my neighbor talking on the news about how horrible the damage was. Least I could see it on the TV

No, but the HOA is offering a reward. They took a machete and chopped all the Saguaro cactus's to bits. Those things are protected and take like 100 years to even get an arm. Makes me sick.

That's terrible!! why in the heck would they destroy those beautiful Saguaro's. A lot of us worry about that. Our neighbors got a camera kit at Sam's club for around $800. 6 cameras, motion activated, and can be viewed from their smart phones. We're going to do the same thing.

That sucks! 2,000 miles from home, no local channels, was it on the world news. What were you watching to see the news in your homes area? That's just terrible to of had this happen while you are gone! What do you do now from that far away from home?
Is your home ok, or is the whole inside/outside trashed? Sorry for so many questions.

We watch the local news on the google TV, I just know the FBI is investigating it because they are a protect species. Neighbors put black ribbons on them..

Sorry to hear of this Mario-John. Just sickening what has happened to these beautiful Saguaro's. I grew up in Tucson and we travel back just to see the beautiful vegetation which is so much different from here, although it's only 450 miles away.
I hope the vandals will be caught and prosecuted.
Sorry for your loss.

That's totally crazy. I hope the law doesn't catch them. Be much better if they break into the wrong house, and the owner calls 911, and says be sure to bring body bags.

You need to call your local PD if you have not already done so. But you ware mistaken there are worse things.

Turning on the news and the reporter is interviewing your neighbor as the Fire Department hoses down the embers where your house used to be.... And even worse.

Turning on the TV and they are interviewing the neighbor in front of the remains of his house next to the gaping hole in the ground where your house used to be.

And there are folks in this country who know exactly how that feels.. Thankfully. I am not among them.

But I did get a 9-1-1 call from a restaurant manager (This story has a funny ending) once, He told me he was on his way into work, which restaurant he managed, and "There seems to be a Fire up ahead" I assured him there was and FD was on the scene.

As he got closer he said "It looks like it is close to my restaurant" I told him it was

Finally he figured it out as he arrived where his restaurant used to be.

The funny part: First, understand that everyone got out safely when the fire was discovered so NOBODY GOT HURT.. when people get hurt it is NEVER funny.

The funny part: The restaurant name: FLAMING EMBERS.

Yup, it sure had the right name.
