Great, now another new endless debate......

"Should I get an air cooled pusher or front engine water cooled ClassC".

You had the rare chance to catch a late 60's Beetle as it emerged from it's cocoon. Not many have had such pleasure. My hat's off to you!

Hey halftime, I think the 80 year old man that financed his 250,000 dollar motorhome for 20 years is a genius. He could live to see it paid off or he could enjoy it till he dies then let the bank have it. A winner either way. Just make sure it's in his name only. My goal is for the check to the undertaker to bounce. If So I won life's lottery. Lol

Be careful what you wish for. Sounds like a joke, but there was a local undertaker who was charged by the police because he embalmed a guy and no one paid the bill. He stuck the guy in the basement for several years. Someone heard about it and called the police.

Abuse of a corpse would be my guess, or there's a law that they need to be buried in a certain length of time.

Not sure of the model.

From the "rolled bumper" it is a 1967 or older. VW went to the squared bumper in 1968.

From the shape of the headlights, it is a 1967 to 1979.

That would indicate a 1967 VW "bug" or "beetle."

I believe that is also the first year VW used a 12V battery in the bugs.

Incidentally, those rolled bumpers, and the light weight of the older models, made it easy for a group of high school football players to relocate VW's from driveways to rooftops. (No, I was not a football player.)

No worries about keeping the interior warm while driving with the engine location.
