I love the fact that this is illustrated with an SUV. I spent many winter days on the road with my son's travel hockey team. I just had a rear wheel drive conversion van but never failed to get where I wanted to go. On the highway, SUVs would blow past us only to be encountered further up the interstate slid off in the ditch. Something about SUV's give folks the idea that they can go fast in snow and ice.

SUV's in fact CAN go fast on snow and ice. Stopping is the problem!

OMG! It was a joke where most people panic except for the few where I come from who love a good doughnut in the middle of the road.

Hey Les, in MN a really tall snowbank was often an excuse to bobsled...with our cars! Could go around corners without turning the wheels. :-)
