With all of the severe weather we have been having this winter, the Department of Transportation issued a travel warning. They suggest that anyone traveling in the current icy conditions should have the following: Shovel Blankets or sleeping bag Extra clothing including coats, hats and gloves 24 hours worth of food De-icer Rock salt Flashlight and spare batteries Road flares or reflective triangles Empty gas can, Booster cables.

I looked like an idiot on the bus this morning.

Hurricane Preparedness Plan:

At the beginning of hurricane season, gather enough provisions to support you and your family for 5 days, including water, food, batteries, a weather radio, clothing, and anything else you need. Place these items in your RV, and travel to Montana. Stay until end of September.

I'm glad to see I'm not the only one who caught the Empty gas can... but coming from the govt it makes perfect sense that they would say something like this!!!
