Emptying Grandma's night jar every morning. (Sure learned to carry water in a full pail without spilling.)

Wasn't that long ago but can just guess how many cops would show up at the house if a parent sent the apple sauce with lemon and bourbon wrapped in foil to school these days for your sore throat.
