You know your old if you like this. Younger people probably won't appreciate it. 
Subject: Great Precision Tap Dancing 
A bygone era, literally.
After this was filmed, FRED ASTAIRE never elected to be paired with Eleanor Powell again!!
He later said it was not to his benefit; because she was just too great!!!! Of course, as you will see, he was pretty great himself.
Frank Sinatra said "we will not see the likes of this again." I'm pretty sure he was right.
Remember, Eleanor Powell was wearing a dress below her knees, and is in high heels!! --
Sadly a bygone era of true beauty, civility and grace the likes of which will never be seen again.
The year: 1940 (74 years ago)
The narrator: Frank Sinatra.
And the most AMAZING thing of all, this was ONE, UNEDITED camera shot!

I walked into a much younger coworker's office a few years back and commented on a nice K&E slide rule on his bookshelf. He said he saw it at the local flea market, thought it was cool and bought it cheaply. I picked it up and started working with it. He gaped and exclaimed, "You actually know how to use that!?!"

 We were not allowed to use them until grade 11. I work in outdoor power equipment distribution, a dealer called looking for part numbers for points and condenser on an old Briggs and Stratton . I gave him the numbers right away, I worked on so many of those engines in my younger days I can still remember them. There was a pause then "How old are you?" Just don't ask me where I put my glasses.
