The cheapest I ever saw gas was 19¢ a gallon during a gas in Abilene, TX in '69-'71 (I don't remember the exact year). We filled the tank with loose change we found under the machines in the next door laundromat.

grashly, what did you do? Buy hi octane? I used to buy regular for 14.9/gallon and got S&H Green stamps and a glass! Price lasted for over a year during our local gas war!
