You remember watching the movie Giant where James Dean had his jalopy running around in circles on the prairie so you decided to try it (on a really hot night) and it worked fine in the company parking lot until you looked up and saw the shipping dock coming at you on the next pass!!

You know you are old when you stop searching for the meaning of life to focus on searching for your car keys!

YKYOW you remember as a first grader, walking home alone for 2 whole blocks for lunch every day and your mother was not arrested for child abuse. On top of that you watched Lunch with Soupy (might be a Midwest, Detroit thing) and she had actually prepared for you the lunch that Soupy Sales had said he'd have the next day. And moms stayed home. Working moms were the exception.

Go to Family Dollar and ask if they have Thermos and the girl shows you a " travel mug" Go to WinnDixie and ask where they have the pectin the girl says" What's that for?" Call Walmart for a price on a" canner "5 people later you finally get an answer after explaining in Detail what a canner is for! Buy Heavy Whipping Cream and the clerck asks "what do you do with that?" Really over 80% of the population won't be able to feed themselves without a grocery store freezer section!!!! They don't know where their food actually comes from... Hell they don't even know what it's like to taste milk fresh out of the cow! So we aren't old just more experienced!!!

I went into an office supply and asked for a laundry marker. Blank look from clerk. How about a Sharpie? That worked better. He must have never gone to summer camp and mom wrote his name on the tag in all his clothes.

You're old when you still have dinnerware settings purchased with Green Stamps!

When you remember counting the coupons off of Raleigh cigarette packs hoping you had enough for a free pack...

You know you are old when...

You have a quarter in your First Aid kit for the payphone.
