Everyone talks in acronyms and you have no clue what the heck they are talking about.
If you ask, they get upset because they all talk at once anyway. It's all gibberish! KWIM?

You'd rather have a back rub than a front rub. ;-)

You know you are old when your car and Boom Box played 8 track tapes.
Also when your grand kids ask where is the button let down the window and you have to explain that is what the handles on the inside of the car doors are for

Yes, MOPARS had them for a year, or so, along about1955. My brother had one in his Dodge. I believe they were the only ones that offered them from the factory.

Air conditioning was flipping the vent window back to your face.
Power steering was installing a steering wheel knob on the top right of the wheel.
Rear view camera...just look over your right shoulder.
Power outside rear view mirrors...what was an outside rear view mirror.
Argued whether a "3 on the tree" was better than a powerglide.
Sunoco 260 was 29 cents a gallon.
Every gas station had free maps.
Cig's were 25 cents a pack in a machine that could be found EVERYWHERE.
New tires could be had for 20 bucks each.
Cars used stright 30 weight oil. And, we all added the necessary STP so your car would go faster, just like The King said it would.
What was a seat belt???
Had a reverberator on the rear deck.
JC Whitney and Honest Charlie's was THE place to get "stuff".
CherryBombs were considered the ONLY way to go.
One of the first mod's was to install "blue dots"...not the cheapie plastic, but real glass blue dots.

You know what "lake pipes" are.
When someone said "scooter" you immediately thought of "Cushman".
Baby Moons.
MoonEyes
Rat Fink
You can walk up to a vintage car with side skirts, and know how their attached, and how to take em off.
Crager Super Sports.
Red Line Tires
Thom McCan shoes with the "tiger stripe" lining.
12 cent McDonalds hamburgers.
39 cent BK Whoppers
Birch Beer and A&W Rootbeer was 15 cents.
If you lived in the Miami, Fla area, you remember AM 560 Tiger Radio, of course , with Rick Shaw. (He's still alive and kickin...attends a lot of 60's era reunions)
"Chicken Man, Chicken Man", he's everywhere, he's everywhere!!!

I remember them. I wondered how one keeps from scratching up the records when they hit bumps in the road.

That was pretty much the reason that option was dropped after only one year. I believe it was either 56 or 57.

They were not meant to be used while driving.
They were for when you were parked. You put on Nat King Cole record and got your girlfriend "in the mood".
