Abingdon MD

I was in Abingdon MD this week for 4 days at the Bar Harbor RV Park & Marina. This is my DW's home away from home when she is traveling with her job.
I flew into Philadelphia Sunday afternoon. Monday I washed the MH & sealed the roof. Tues went for a 22 mile bike ride to Bel Air & back, and kayaking on the Bush River which feeds into the Chesapeake Bay. Wed a little more work on the MH & then we kayaked again in the afternoon. I flew home Thurs morning. The wife & I had a great 4 days together. The RV Park is nice, the people that run it are all friendly & helpful. I have read some reviews that are not very good about this RV Park, and some that are, but everyone has their own opinions. The price is higher than most other places we have stayed, but there are not a lot of long term RV parks in the Baltimore area, & especially that are open all year long.
This area of MD is very nice. The bike ride route I did was extremely hilly but also extremely scenic. The Bush River during the week only has a few boats on it, so kayaking was very enjoyable. We did about 7-8 miles on Wed. We paddled to Flying Point Park in Eastwood & then to Leight Park in Abingdon & back to the RV park Marina.
No real purpose to this post other than to tell youall about our week. Hope you enjoyed my post.

The Baltimore area is nice, the Inner Harbor has a lot of restaurants, an aquarium, a fort, & 3 ships you can tour. About 30 mins from Abingdon. There is a lot of Civil War history in this area or within an hour + drive. & Washington DC is about 2 hours away. We have been here (or I should say my DW has) since Feb 6th & she will complete her assignment Aug 6th. We have kept pretty busy each time I have gone to visit. which is 2-3 tmes a month.
