WOW! Thanks for sharing! I saw this for the first time on CBC Morning with Sully acting as out tour guide.

It's amazing that they are dedicating the space to this air craft. Do you know if they are going to restore the wings?

Any body thats in to planes and stuff. There is a site close to Perry GA. It is at the nearby A.F. base.If you are going to a rally (there are a few already posted for G.S. and others) it is a must see .They even have a SR-71 Black Bird ,and about 90 other Planes and choppers.Only cost is a donation of your choice.

Us airline pilots love Sully. Like the heroic Soiux City DC-10 captain, Al Haynes, he is so perfectly suited to represent our beleagured profession.

One of our own pilots was aboard that day, she met Sully on the boat. He was dry, calm, sat with the maintenance log under his arm. She said he cordially offered a place for her on the crew van going to the hotel. She accepted, joking that her purse was sinking, along with the airplane. He reportedly fished into his pocket and produced a $20 bill. "This'll get you started, if you get to the bar before us."

Of course, if the two were here, they'd offer an amended version of the tale, handed down amongst the crews. But, the gist would remain the same.

RVNeophytes2, One segment of our society that does not typically disappoint me are professional and or military pilots.

I have not met a pilot that has not said that he's the BEST pilot that he's ever known. In my experience being calm and in command is what good pilots do. They will command their aircraft and do so until wheel stop or in Sully's case until splash down.

I do appreciate the new position that Sully has assumed with CBS and I look forward to hearing what he has to say everytime he's on.

From a VFR ATC.
