Well, had my first run out; of this season, last weekend and it was a mixed bag of great and not so great.

The great was my new (to me) Jeep. She is a V8, 1996 Grand Cherokee Limited. That vehicle is SO comfortable and pulled the TT like a champ. With the exception of some wind gusts, I hardly knew it was there. SUCH a difference between that and my V6 van. Looks like the van is retired, from towing the TT, permanently. Which, I'm sure, the van appreciates.

Got to the show site (dog show) and it was raining cats and dogs, wind blowing and COLD! Just the day before, it was sunny and beautiful (of course!).

Ended up having to move, after I was half set up, because the show club forgot to mark the fire lane, which included four of the sites closest to the show building. Not fun to have to tear down, again, in the rain but what do you do....

Got set up, in the new site, and start the water pump and nothing, no 'air' sound- from the faucet- no nothing. Weird. Then a friend yells, outside, 'is water supposed to be pouring out over here?’ Oh boy! Turn off the pump and go outside to see water pouring out from under the TT about where the water heater is. Open the water heater door and can't see any water, so I'm thinking that I've got a busted line between the fresh tank and the heater. Great, no water for the entire weekend. Luckily I bring drinking water and I'm okay. My friend, whose class C is next to me, says that I can use her shower, so life is good again.

Weather, all weekend, was on the VERY strange side! One minute sunny/beautiful and then five minutes later, you're in the middle of a monsoon and happy that your TT sits so high off the ground because you're pretty soon that any minute you're going to be seeing an Ark float by you. Very wild weather!

Back to the Great; show wise, it was a great weekend as one of my girls finished her championship and one of my boys got more points towards his championship. One more major and he is finished too. Yep, definitely on the Great side!!

My set up. Still using my pop ups while I wait for someone to run a sale on awnings.

I LOVE to grill and BBQ each night. Found, on clearance, a Coleman BBQ table that collapes into a little case, at WM for $34. It was GREAT!! I can not believe all of that fit in a case so small. Was wonderful. You can, kinda, see it under the white pop up with my blue grill on it (also a sale find-a few years ago- for under $20

Need to get the leak fixed so that I can take the rig back out. WAY too much fun to just leave in the driveway!!

Sheila
