My wife and I took our first excursion in our new to us 2000 Winnebago Journey. We headed to Le Cerc Creek in North East Washington. We left town in a monssoon like rainstorm.

I stopped to get deisel and could not get the mh to start. I was just calling the dealer when I remembered the transmission had to be in nuetral.

We were doing well until our two year old lab became scared and decided the "safe place" was on my feet making it difficult to accelerate or brake!

After a canine adjustment we were back on our way, about 65 miles with the last twenty being off road on National Forest land. No problem with the three single lane bridges, muddy roads, wildlife crossings, ect.

Great four day trip, even with two days of steady rain. Loads of four wheeling, turkey hunting, fishing and setting around the campfire with our dear friends. We loved the mh and the conveinence of set up!

As we left for home today we didn't know that a huge windstorm had hit eastern washington. We had to stop and unload the four wheeler to winch serverall massive pine trees of the road. Driving home with 30 mph winds and gusts up to 60 mph made for an interesting ride.

Made it home safe and sound and feel like we were broken in quite well on this trip. Loved the boondocking, ran the generator 40 minutes each night and had no problem with the batteries, or any thing else....can't wait to stay in a rv park

Thank you for all the help I got, from members of this forum, getting me ready for this first adventure, it made our mh experience a huge success
