Next day we do the same thing only to the next resort stop on the monorail, lunch, explore, etc. As the grandkids are too young for Disney we will not go into the parks until they are older then take the entire family. We have been doing this for 5 years now and thoroghly enjoy it. Also have met some nice folks at FW, on the boat and on the monorail. Since we have a Disney visa this years stay at FW is no cost to us. Great plan if your not aware of it!
Can you tell us more about the Disney visa and how that gives you free stay at FW? A website URL would really help.

I'm going to take a guess that they are referring to a Disney Chase Visa Card. We have 2 and have used the points for an (almost) free stay at Ft. Wilderness. The website is disneyrewards.com. I believe it is a 1% reward on purchases. I use mine for business expenses so they add up fairly quickly.

If you go to the parks more than once a year the premium annual pass is a great deal. 20% off Disney merchandise and many of the restaurants.

I asked today while we were at downtown Disney and was told the website is disneyrewardsvisa dot com. Didn't get a chance to verify this as we are taking off for dinner then fireworks

We are at Fort Wilderness right now. The place is awesome. No problems driving down from PA. Renting the golf cart is a must. I love this place.

We agree, but for what I've paid for the rentals over the years I'm sure we've bought one by now.
By any chance have you noticed if FW is renting the 6 passenger cart yet?

Did not see 6's to rent. The guy that did it from off site told me he is no longer allowed to deliver to the campground. Must pick it up elsewhere
