Hello Disney campers!
We have reservations for next May at Fort Wilderness. How is it? We have heard really good things about this campground but have never been. Please give us your opinion.

Vetteledy76, Once you have been here, you will never want to leave!!!! We believe it's one of the best places on earth...

pperter313, There was minimal hurricane damage here. Howevere you can see remains of fallen trees and such. But like every thing at disney it is cleaned up by the next day!!! Also here at FW, some of the Bus Depots were damaged along with the roofs of the Bath houses. All of which are being replced as I type this. (I could here the hammering...LOL)

We tried to get in there for Christmas and New Years, but they had no spaces available. Maybe next year. We'll be there for Thanksgiving, and probably other times before next Christmas. We're going to Cherokee NC for the end of the year.

Being the procrastinating type, I've never made my Fort Wilderness reservations soon enough. First time I call they are always booked. Keep trying. Some folks say 7:00 is best, right when they get things set for the day. Try disboards.com, disneycampers.com, or mousesavers.com for more info.

It's a pain to call everyday until you get what you want, but it's worked out for me.

We camped at Fort Wilderness it was a great place to camp firt class. Once there never needed to drive. Just jump on the bus witch run every 10-15 mins. They drop you off at the central bus station where you just board another bus to go where ever you wanted to go in the park just make sure you get on the right bus . The system is very easy to use . I know I will be there again

Funny how things work out. Have to be in Florida for business next February. Just made Fort Wilderness reservations for January 30 to February 2.

Less than two months, let the countdown begin.

We have reservations for the 18th thru the 28th of January. I can't wait to get there.

We haven't planned on spending a lot of time in the parks but we'll certainly do a couple and there's always Downtown Disney to do.
