Just came back from 4 days at Fort Wilderness at Disney World. I'm a Floridian so the heat doesn't get me but the rain every day sure does increase the mosquito population. Maybe that is why all the semi perminent residents were all gone this time of year. I did not witness any spraying as I had in the past but maybe that was just me. The remodeled pool area is great with a water slide, hot tub, and water attraction for the kids. Doubled the number of lounge chairs too. Lots of activites also increased the kid enjoyment factor. The new premium sites were much more expensive but worth it for me as they are wider and all that cochina sand doesn't get tracked into the motor home. Even with the mosquitos you can't help but have a good time. I also saw a thriving wildlife popluation with lots of deer sightings, wild turkeys and cardinals as common as pigions in New York and wild pigs in groups. Falcons and woodpeckers are not numerous be easy to spot. People actually seemed to be catching fish but I didn't try this time. Grand kids are already demanding a return date so I guess DW will continue to take a major portion of my recreation budget.
