We had a small meet up with Skipat, DixieRay53 and Dunrovin at Deep River Campground.  Some of us had never met, but by the end of the weekend were all good friends and we are planning another get together in November.  The campground was quiet before we got here and will be quiet again after we leave.  Small, but was perfect for us. On Sunday night a couple from New Hampshire pulled in and they sat around the fire with us and hopefully will join IRV2. Life is good.

I agree ----we had a great time! It was a wonderful weekend and when it came to a close and it was ready to pack up and leave  we left with the feeling as though we had been friends with everyone a lifetime instead of just newly formed friendships. Really enjoyed it and looking forward to the next meet!

I know what you mean, Kate and I went down to Dane County when JMonroe was being the host. We had never met before but it was like we were old friends.It was so much fun talking to Jay and Peggy about their travels as well as ours. We had been to some of the same places and it sure was fun to recall all those adventures. I sure am looking foward to retire in a few years so we can get together with all our new friends.

rvjimmy, when you retire and you get to NC, give us a hollar, we are always ready to camp with people. If we ever get up your way, we would love to meet you.

Glad to hear everyone had a great time. Hopefully when the next one is planned we can go with you. Let us know when it is planned for. If you can't find another location, then you might want to think about Hagan Stone Park. It is a Greensboro City park and is located in Pleasant Garden off 421 S.

Not Ashborough but Ashville....
Speaking of NC... I was watching "The Coolest Stuff on the Planet" (Internet video) and they visited Ashville.... I spent a night there on my current trip.

Yes, Asheville is a great place to go. Asheboro is also nice. The NC Zoo is there and alot of things to do.

Welcome!! I was hoping to hear from you. Love the screen name. We enjoyed meeting you and visiting around the campfire. Next time you are in our area, please send us a message so we can share another evening together. I bet Dan is counting down the days till retirement.
