bob, linda & missy, You folks have a good time up there. We travelled up there several times. The days we like the best are the ones where you can see the sumit of Mt. Washington.
There's a large trading post up there with Tee-Pees and such. Look for the Stamford Fire Department horse drawn hand pumper.

new rver, thanks for the report about the Green Meadow CG. We're trying to make it up to that part of the country later in September and being a railroad nut, I just got to ride the Conway Scenic RR and the Mt. Washington Cog RR.

They are also right next door to "STORYLAND". If you have preschool age children you'll know about them. You can walk about 50 yds down the road and be in their parking lot. A ticket purchase after 3:00pm one day gives you next day free. Most of the long lines disapate by 3 pm so you get a good jump on the next day.
Not a large campground but a great paved bicycling loop for the kidos. Gram and Gramp can sit in one spot and watch them do the enrire loop!
NOTE:There are signs at Green Meadow stating it is BEAR country. Trust me it is, just ask my daughter and son in law who have to go buy a new cooler now....................
