KOA Williamsburg

We just spent the first RV week-end in KOA Williamsburg. The location was very quiet and just the ticket we were looking for.
There were three seperate comfort stations and the Camp Store was MORE than helpful in everything we asked. As being newbies to the RV experience, it was an extremely good first outing. Cudos to the staff and we enjoyed meeting our new "temporary" neighbors.
Since there is much more to see in the area, we will definately be using this site again.

Was there available transportation to Colonial Williamsburg or did you have to drive your toad?

Hope you got to walk around CW and eat at one or more of the taverns -- just a wonderful place and first class in every way. One of our all-time fav places to visit!

During the "season" there is (Labor Day to Memorial Day). We opted for a taxi down to Colonial Williamsburg (about $25.00). The camp store has numbers to both Hertz and Enterprise rental at the desk.
I’ll look at a dolly now and/or a motorcycle lift. As this was our first outing geared more towards learning the vehicle and ensuring everything worked, I elected not to take a second vehicle.
(The Chesapeake Bay Bridge/Tunnel is murder on extra axils)
