Beautiful area of the state. We are heading out to that area on the 22rd for over a week. Couple of days at Scooteney Park Rec Area and then to the Potholes. Can't wait for warm weather and water. Have fun in the wine country.

We stayed at wine country rv park for a couple of days earlier this month. OK but nothing special.
Nicest place we stayed at in the area was Charbeneau COE park in Burbank, Wa about 10 miles from Pasco. On Lake Sacajawea (Snake River) Beautiful treed sites with nice view of the lake. Marina. Really clean restrooms. Stayed in a 40 ft DP. Mid week rate is $11 a night. Full 50 amp hookups.
Enjoy. Some great wineries. We hit a couple of tasting rooms in Ellinsburg. I live in So Cal and have a 400 bottle wine celler. Wines were really quite good.

PVRick:
x2. Charbonneau is one of our all-time Washington favorites. It's actually a State Park, but is run on their behalf by COE.
We haven't been there with our current rig. last visit was in '02, but we hope to be there in early Sept, after the schools have gone back in.

We are in O'Sullivan's Sportsman RV Park (ROD) right now just across the street from Potholes State Park and Reservoir. It's a beautiful area. The park is pretty nice except they have tent camping wherever they can fit them, which right now is behind our rig. Quiet people but they like their fires at night which makes us nervous because the fire ring is only about 6 feet behind us. Plus, we can't open our windows to get the cool night breezes because of all the smoke. Other than that, it's an adequate park with 50 amp, trees, gravel pads with grass surrounds. Also, they let us use our Segways so that's a nice plus.

We stay across the freeway at Sunrise Resorts Pier 4 all the time. You will love Wine Country RV in Prosser. Hope you have lots of money and plenty of room for cases of wine. Must be half a dozen tasting rooms within walking (stumbling) distance of the park.
