We are headed for the Niagara Falls KOA today for 4 nights in our brand new Surveyor hybrid (SP192T). This is our maiden voyage before our big trip (3 weeks) at the end of July through middle of august.

Hope to post some pics on our return.

Happy Canada/Independence day everyone!

Mike

Cogratulations:
Enjoy your new RV and we know you will enjoy the campground. Its one of our favorites. Check out some of the wineries and don't forget the fireworks over the river.
Enjoy this Canada Day- Independence Day weekend.

Just got back from our maiden voyage. What a great weekend! The weather was terrific, the campground was fantastic and the kids were exhausted! All in all a great trip.

The trailer was great with the typical first trip problems. The hot and cold hoses were switched under the sink in the bathroom. That was a quick fix. The outside show cold water tap turns on the wrong way. Got to fix that one but not a deal breaker. The only thing that was a little bad was the fridge did not work off shore power. It would for a while and then stop working. Fortunately, it would work off gas so I just did that for the whole weekend. Everything was nice and cold. The A/C was nice and chilly and made sleeping comfortable. I did have a scare when I was packing up. Once I hooked the trailer back up to the Jeep there was a lot of water coming off the roof. My wife thought it was a leak but then I realized that it was the condensate from the air conditioner. I guess I was so level that the water was not draining from the roof. Is this an issue?

For anyone looking for a nice campground in Niagara Falls I would highly recommend the Niagara Falls KOA (Ontario). It has two outdoor pools (one kiddie pool), an indoor pool with two hot tubs for the adults, a good store with supplies, ice cream socials etc. The sites are a little close together but I never felt like we were intruding on anyone's site. I can't speak to the cleanliness of the washrooms as we used the one in our trailer.

My 2 1/2 year old son was sitting at the breakfast table this morning and asked to go camping again. He was sad when I said we had to wait another two weeks for our big trip.

Here is a photo of the kids at the camp.

Normally the roof would have enough slope to drain, but some water would be left in the pan under the ac unit and that maybe what you saw. Did you have water continuously dripping from the roof some where when the AC unit was working.
Glad your first weekend was a success and we look forward to seeing you down the road some where.

We have a campout in Fergus the Labour day weekend and would love to have you join us.
