If you like snow camping come visit us in Alaska. We get snow in the south central starting in September and keep it well into May.

Wow... It's one of my favorite photos of the Rig. I sent a message to Bob Difley http://www.blogger.com/profile/03067488515206793406 the author of the post over at RV Boondocking to thank him for the exposure of my photo. Of course Mount Rainier is far away from Northern Maryland where the photo was taken. I'm sure he will correct the posting to reflect the photo was not taken in Washington state.

If it were me, I would hit him up about copyright infringement for using a photo without the owners permission. You should at least get photo credit.

Copyright infringement is pursuable if the item is copyrighted. I doubt the OP copyrighted that photo.

He is an award winning photographer and writes for several RV sites. I'm sure he will correct the post to give credit for my photo. In a few days I will check on the other site to see if he has made the correction. Twenty years ago I visited Mount Rainier and at the time it wasn't snowing where I was at. Don't want anybody to think the photo was from there. My belief is he will uphold his credibility as a photographer and as a writer.

Nonono...In the USA under Federal Copyright Act of 1976, photographs are protected by copyright from the moment of creation! Thus holds true for written work and and other art too.

There are ways to support that protection (e.g. using copyright symbol on your shots and registering them with the Library of Congress), but they are not necessary. YOU are the copyright owner the moment you take the shot!

Not everyone cares to pursue their copyright, but they do have the right to do so. As someone who's spent alot of time in photography (on professional side too) this is something that's close to my heart.

Just for those who wanted to know...
