We are going to Jonathan Dickinson SP, in Hobe Sound, Fl this weekend. Haven't been since the hurricanes last year. All of the park is finally open so we are looking forward to a look-see to see how the new renovations turned out. I guess a lot of trees will be gone, but it will be great to get back to one of our favorite parks and to go over to the ocean and see that beautil teal-aqua colored water again!

thats a real nice place to go camping. we used to live in palm beach gardens, till the hurricanes came thru, now we live in north carolina, but anyway have fun!!!!!

We used to tent camp at JDSP about 1-2x per month (when we weren't at Sandsprit or off at another campground. David and I met there so it's a bit special to us (although a hurricane wiped out the site we met in). We used to live in Ft. Pierce/PSL/Stuart. We left in 1981 for Franklin, NC and haven't camped there since.

Have you canoed the Loxahatchee? We used to put in at Indiantown Rd (Jupiter) in the morning and canoe thru the swamp, taking a break at Trapper Nelson's before finishing up at the beach in the park. Lot's of fun but you got to time it so that you don't have to fight the incoming tide of the river (late afternoon).
