We stayed there a few years ago on one of their freebie offers, very nice park. It's clean, ample sites, lots of amenities.

After listening to their obligatory sales spiel and using the free days offered, we moved on.

Nice park, ample site space, not really that close to Hershey Amusement areas, but only 1/2 hour drive

Great park and area to visit. If you are a 1000 Trails member, stay the whole two weeks to see everything in the area. Also, we always stop at Gettysburg which is well worth the stop over.

We have stayed there a couple of times. Like everyone said...nice park. Just watch where you step when down by the water. They get a LOT of geese there and, well, you know.

Sorry, just stumbled on this thread. We are new TT members and we are enjoying the parks in FL. Looking at a trip up north this summer. Is the Hershey Park very crowded in the summer?

You bet it is!

Very popular area to visit. Just be sure to make a reservation ahead of time and you'll be OK.

As someone else said, watch out for the "goose greese" near the lake. The manager likes ducks/geese and won't do much to get rid of them. But that's just a minor problem, really.

We go to Hershey TT several times a summer. We rarely have a problem making a reservation. We also find a site in the area we like.
The wild geese/ducks whatever they are bite too. One bite me from behind when I was sitting on a bench.
We joined TT there and really like the preserve.
Those ducks/geese have been there for over 10 years.

Thanks for the response folks. We are looking forward to the trip up there this summer from Tampa. We are trying to plan a 2-3 week trip and I am thinking about hitting all of the TT sites I can through SC, NC, VA, PA, OH and TN. Have you guys been to any of them?

In Virginia, we've stayed at both Lynchburg and Chesapeake. Lynchburg is woodsey. Chesapeake is big. Both nice.
In Ohio, we've stayed at Kenisee Lakes. Very nice. Doesn't have that crowded feeling at all. This summer we want to see the other one in Ohio.
We just finished staying 2 weeks at Orlando and I personally didn't care for it.

Did you stay down in the "woods" area or up in the "no" tree area. We have stayed down in the woods area and enjoyed it. We have also stayed at the Peace River Preserve and really liked it. We are discovering that most of the folks like to be as close to the main building as possible where as we enjoy being in the more senic secluded area. Thanks for the info on the VA sites.

When we were at Lynchburg, there were no full service sites available in the "no woods" section. We were in the woods. Nice but dark -- very dark. Our dogs enjoyed themselves. We like the pond and the clubhouse was excellent.
While we are here in Florida we wanted to go to Peace river. But, so much we want to do and so little time. Maybe next year if we come back.
