2015 Houston Quilt Show

My wife and I will be attending the Houston Quilt Show in October and are searching for RV park suggestions. We have found 2 close to downtown South Main RV Park and Lake View RV Park. The reviews are not the best so we are looking for suggestions or if you have stayed at either of the locations we would appreciate your opinion.

We would like to find an RV park close to the event (George R. Brown Convention Center) and, if possible, close to public transportation (we have a dually and prefer they do the driving).

We called Traders Village and was told we could expect the traffic to and from the event could take as long as 1 hour each way so we removed that park from our list.

There are a couple of the Quality Rv Resorts that may fit the bill in Houston. We have stayed at Fallbrook, Westlake and Northlake. All have been excellent. Click on this link and then do their map locations to see which ones are the closest to where you want to go. www.qualityrvresorts.com

X2 above suggestion. Find the Park & Ride nearest your campground selection. Leave your vehicle and ride the bus to George Brown and Quilt Show. See this link to find park and ride as well as bus schedules. Parking is free at P&R's and security is rarely an issue.
Park and Ride Locations

Hope you enjoy Houston, it is a good city.
