Question 4th of July weekend within two hours of Jackson, Michigan?

Can anyone recommend a good, kid friendly (four year old and 3 month old) campground with FHU, Pool, etc. within two hours of Jackson, Michigan? We had thought about the Jellystone in Freemont, Indiana, but after reading the reviews, we're not sure if it's set up for such small children. It sounds like it appeals more to the pre-teens, etc. Our daughter and her family will have a hybrid, but we'll be camping in a 40' diesel pusher and would LOVE a paved pad. Thanks for your help!

You would need to make reservations soon but Cedar Pointe in Sandusky, Ohio is within range.

The 4 year old would love the age appropriate rides and the wandering characters all over the park. Preteens would absolutely love the rest of the rides. The adults would love the convenience of the park's campground about 200 yards from the rear entrance. Go on line and check it out. We loved to take our daughters there.

We live minutes from Cedar Point. The 4 year old may have fun on the age appropriate rides but the cost of getting the family in for that short time might be better for a later date. As far as a nice campground you might want to check out East Harbor State Park on Catawba ( Port Clinton) Maumee Bay State park in Oregon, just outside of Toledo. We have never been to Maumee bay. But I'm guessing g you might have a tough time getting reservations at either park due to the fact they usually book 6 months in advance. Another park that would be ideal is Cedarlane RV park, it is also on Catawba. Very quiet and family oriented campground. They offer full hook ups. Also they have a splash pad for the kids along with a shallow pool. I do apologize as I did not read if you had a tow car with you. If so, there are many activities to so in the the area. From Catawba you are minutes from the island ferry docks, drive through animal park where you can actually feed the animals from your car, cedar points water park ( soak city) may not be a bad options either. Or you can opt for your choice of several indoor water parks in Sandusky. Sorry if I rambled on but this area is filled with activities.

Hidden Ridge is a nice family friendly campground in Hopkins, MI. It is on US 131 north of Kalamazoo. If you want to go east then Holiday Beach Resort near Port Sanilac is another good family oriented campground. It is probably close to 2.5 hours from Jackson.
