5 State Trip

Went from home (Riverton, UT) to Winnemucca NV. Then up to Idaho - memo, DO NOT TRAVEL ON NV140, I have never been so scared in my life. 1,000 foot drop, DH was frightened that the brakes would fail, but they didn't. Horrible hairpin bends, we had to stop for recuperation when we finally got to the bottom! Then to CA, stopped on the coast, wonderful seafood, up to Oregon, over to Montana, Montana Grizzly experience absolutely fantastic. Brutus, Maggi and Jake, not to mention dear Sheena. Oh, I forgot, we also went to Mount St. Helens, amazing. On the way south we stopped by Craters of the Moon, another extraordinary place, lava fields for over 1,000 sq. miles. Slowly made our way home, staying in some great campgrounds, and others that weren't so great. One advertised that they offered cable tv, we hooked up, and all there was available was 4 channels, all of which were advertising Xfinity! Good thing we had a dvd player with us! We got home on Monday, so DH could have a couple of days to relax before back to work on Thursday. What a great trip. Now all I can think of is that I SO want a C class, so I don't have to make up that dang bed every night, and take it down in the morning!

Sounds like a fantastic trip. How many days were used?

You know...this is how it all starts..next the Class C ... more great trips...retirement...then you'll be thinking of full-timing!

Ah the trials and tribulations of retirement! The main problem is you never get a day off. Same old sightseeing, relaxing, take a nap, head down to the restaurant for a cup of coffee, take a nap, etc.

Its a hard life but someone has to do it!!

Hi nemlee,
Congrats on your trip. We've been where you went and also enjoyed the stops. Consider skipping the class "C" and jump directly to a class "A". The price is about the same, but more room to enjoy.
